Singapore to receive first batch of H1N1 vaccine in 2 weeksSINGAPORE: Singapore will receive its first batch of the H1N1 flu vaccine in two weeks’ time, with one million doses due to arrive by Christmas, Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan said on Sunday.
This will be enough to satisfy the country’s immediate needs, Mr Khaw told reporters at a community event.
He also advised travellers to get vaccinated against the new flu strain, and urged those who want to have the jab before Christmas to notify their general practitioner as soon as possible.
"I’ll keep about 20 per cent for my frontline staff, and the rest will be distributed to the general practitioners," said Mr Khaw. "That’s why we need to get from them what are their expected orders."
