| Food has always fascinated me. Whats more there are so many varietys. I bet you could eat a new type of dish everyday of your life and you still wouldnt try everyone of them. Food is the thing that keeps us alive and up and going. Food can bring a community together. Food plays important roles of some cultures like France - one of the most famous countries for its Food. This thread is dedicated to Food. Discuss about this spectacular wonder!!

| Singapore is one food paradise. A mix of Malay, Indian, Chinese, and Western foods. Roti prata is the Singaporean evolution of the Pakistani and Indian paratha, a pancake bread made of dough composed of fat, egg, flour and water. You can even watch the cook toss the dough in the air like some bartenders swing their wine shakes. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| What kinda Curry? Here in Singapore there's plenty of types. Also to introduce to our western friend here some treats that they shouldn't miss out if they were to come to Asia, especially Singapore. Egg Tarts [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Bak kut teh- 肉骨茶 [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The name literally translates as "meat bone tea", and, at its simplest, consists of meaty pork ribs simmered in a complex broth of herbs and spices (including star anise, cinnamon, cloves, dang gui, fennel seeds and garlic) for hours. Pig's organ soup (Chinese: 猪杂汤) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The dish is served as a soup with other optional side dishes as well as boiled rice. The soup itself usually contains a mix of pig intestines, stomach, blood cubes, pork slices, strips of salted vegetables and some Chinese lettuce. I am not a pork lover but these dishes are good! Hainanese chicken rice is a dish of Chinese origin most commonly associated with Singaporean cuisine or Malaysian cuisine, although it is also commonly sold in neighbouring Thailand, and found in Hainan, China itself. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This one is my personal favourite. | |
