I agree a music section would be good but you guys must make sure you fill it up with topics and posts.

Yes but there should be rules for it.
If anything, the U.S. has serious pain in the ass legal issues over copy right laws so I would say no songs of any American singers or groups. This way no one has to deal with a legal battle. If you have a song though from such a group and someone wants it you could give it to them via PM.
Maybe a music request thread. You could also seperate it into sections.
Anime Tokusatsu J/CH/K/Tai - Drama (Japanese, Chinese, Korean & Taiwanese) Game
We could also create a thread were we have music updates so that if any of our members faithfully follow the upcoming releases of different groups, artists, shows, etc...they can post that info in a Music Release thread. Kind of how HJU has their music quarterly thread which is seperated into 4 thread for the 4 quarters of the year.
Of course the most important rule is that you should also be willing to buy the music ya want even after you download the music. Only a true fan would understand this notion. We should still support the original releases and try our best to promote the sales of the real stuff.

I agree - a music section is what we need to give an extra boost to the forum. I will defiantly not put funnels into that section!! I hope the addition of this will gain more memers as well as more motivation to become active around the forums!!

Yeah no links - though everyone has to understand just because we are going to open a music section doesnt give you an excuse to post explict audio, understand. I think posting links for MP3s should be avoided. I think we should allow youtube links to songs or music players at least - to make give it a style to the section

what about English songs with heavy swearing? Some forums allow it while others don't. What would be our policy? Mild, Moderate, fully tolerated or non allowed at all.
Mild - uses only 1-3 swear word in a whole song (Linkin Park, Godsmack, Metallica) Moderate - uses 5-10 swear words at most in a song (Disturbed, Papa Roach, Seather, Saliva, Nickle Back) Full On - more than 10 swear words in a song (Limp Bizkit, Cradel of Filth, Hip-Hop, ICP,)
I listed some group names or group types that fit within those areas in ().

I would say, until we can get a file hosting site like Deka has back at Japan-Legend, we submit our songs for download via either MegaUpload, SendSpace and/or Media Fire.
