Lets talk about the Twilight series of novel just recently made into a movie.

Twilight 250px-Twilightbook
Twilight is the debut, young-adult vampire-romance novel by author Stephenie Meyer. Twilight was initially rejected by 14 agents, but became an instant bestseller when published originally in hardback in 2005, debuting at #5 on the New York Times Best Seller list within a month of its release and later peaking at #1. That same year, Twilight was named one of Publishers Weekly's Best Children's Books of 2005. The novel was also the biggest selling book of 2008.

It is the first book of the Twilight series, and introduces seventeen-year-old Isabella "Bella" Swan, who moves from Phoenix, Arizona to Forks, Washington and finds her life in danger when she falls in love with a vampire, Edward Cullen.

I really dislike both the book and the movie. Especially now with a lot of people raving about the movie (and even starting to bring back the "vampire" subculture {cliques}, which really annoys me)

I'm especially not looking forward to New Moon.

As for the book, it just seemed really cliche' in my opinion.

Im dont have many feelings to express this book but in my opinion, i just didnt like the plot and how things went. The movie was a slight better but now all the girls around are going crazy about how hot Taylor Launter is or something and it gets on my nerves.

It's a tactic to draw in fans...

But if the story is not that good like Eragon for example. a Pretty face is not going to help.

Actually this is probably the only story that only succeeded because of the live action casts, before that no-one hardly had the slightest idea what Twighlight or who Bella Swan was...

Hmm yeah that's one promotion tactic too especially to Asian audiences who have no idea who these characters are.
