A teary-eyed Fish Leong married her boyfriend of two years Tony Zhao in a dream beach resort wedding in the Philippines on Monday.
The romantic affair at Boracay Island had everything the songstress has ever wanted. As the Malaysian singer's favourite colour is purple, her wedding was themed in white and purple shades, with purple flowers lining the carpet towards two docked yachts with the words "Tony & Fish" printed on their sails.
She carried a purple bouquet while Tony, a sommelier businessman, had a purple flower hooked on. The bridesmaid, singer-songwriter Penny Dai, donned a deep purple dress, and the best man, singer Z-Chen had a purple tie on.
Her wedding gown, however, was no shrinking violet. The bride was resplendent in an ivory Vera Wang gown. As for the all-important band on her fourth finger, it was no less than Cartier.
The fairytale occasion began at 4.40pm. Not long after the two stepped onto the carpet, the singer started crying, and said to her husband, "Thank you for loving me."
Penny shouted across the crowd of 50 guests, "Hold your tears back!"
As the couple locked lips after saying their vows, the bridesmaid continued her joshing, "Kiss longer!"
Renowned music producer and Fish's mentor Jonathan Lee took on the role of the bride's father (since her biological dad has passed away) and walked her down the aisle.
"I'm the first man to bring this girl into this line when she was 17, today I'm handing her over to her second man," he said.
The newlyweds will make Taipei their home for now.
Known for her songs about love, Fish, who has taken a four-month break since last November, will hold a formal banquet in Taipei on 3 Mar and return to work on 1 Apr.

Subject: Fish Leong's addicted to acting Fri Apr 23, 2010 8:07 pm
If you're a fan of Fish Leong's music, there's bad news.
The songstress has developed an itch for acting after starring in Aniu's Ice Kacang Puppy Love, which opened here yesterday, and is "seriously considering" halting her music career for two to three years.
She said, "After watching the movie, I'm encouraged to try more movies. I might stop singing for two, three years. I'm serious."
Fish was in town last week with co-stars Aniu, Lee Sinje, Gary Chaw, Victor Wong, Eric Moo and Yi Jet Qi to promote the film.
After attending the Malaysia gala premiere, she toyed with the idea the whole night.
"Everyone has had a fixed impression of me for too long. I feel that I should take the chance to try something different," the Malaysian said in an exclusive interview with xinmsn, before adding that she would still sing movie theme songs and do concerts.
Prior worries about acting for the first time were dispelled when Fish found out her role has no lines - she was most frightened about remembering lines.
Fish as her character Barley Ice.
But acting almost means there would be intimate scenes with male co-stars, we thought. What does she and her husband of two months Tony Chao think?
"That would be the only obstacle. As long as he doesn't watch!"
Fish added that all Tony said about her acting dreams was a supportive "Do what you want to."
The 31-year-old singer, known for her love ballads and crystal-clear vocals, will begin her concert tour in August. There will be at least 10 stops around Asia, including Singapore, and hopefully in the US and Canada as well, she said.
She added that time invested in the tour - not marriage - means there will not be a new album this year.
We think that's okay since we'll be seeing more of her, literally.
