the world coming to an end is freaking me out badly. i think the producer is trying to send us a message in each of these movies. if we dont stop all the things we are doing that cause global warming the world might come to an end. by the cover its set in a cold region and there are monks there. I just checked out the trailer.
It looks like the government is ready for more than 6 billion people to die by getting monks to ring a bell over the mountains which cause a massive tsunami/avalanche disaster.

I don't think the whole world is gonna die. Some will still survive. Or maybe a huge meteor (maybe the half the size of Earth) is gonna hit us. Well, lets just see which country is the unlucky one..
Oh. I think the director of the movie also said something about it. He did say something is going to happen but didn't say what is it. I saw the video when the reporters interviewed him in public.

yeah show us that! the trailer didnt mention anything about a meteor. Are you referring to the movie or real life that meteor may strike Earth in the near future??

Anyway we can watch this movie with a pinch of salt. The guys said that 2012 on the Mayan calendar is just some scare.

He's most likely refering to the movie. In real life, mankind can do something right now that would destroy our oh so little world, sending it to hell and back.

Also im not going to go babbling but when i was younger i heard that a meteor will strike Earth sometime in the new future, apparently on the newspaper, just wanted to know if an meteor was about to enter Earth's atmosphere will humans have the technology to divert its destination or blast it in a million bits??

That's actually a good question and I can say no one really knows. The world governments may have something they could use but end up keeping it under wraps and then go as far as to just fill our minds with propoganda about lower level ways of deflecting it.
Hell, they may not have one and we could all be doomed. Anyway, that meteor you're refering too, its near future impact with Earth is more than a few hundred years away at best or 100 years away at least from striking us.....we'll all be long gone by then.
I'm more worried about that huge excelerated particale collider they have built in running in Europe. That thing could very well form a black hole on the Earth. That's got me more concerned than some meteor and/or asteroid.

Even though the black hole theory is not 100% concrete it's one of the most thought of possibilities that could happen if something goes wrong. Here's a link to the site which hosts the accelerator.

Anyway this movie is just for effects and just cashing in on the hype on 2012. But the fact is that the 2012 is just a myth.
